What you don’t know about mold, mildew and other nasties can cause you major health problems. Few people understand really how bad it is to have mold in your home. Any moisture or water in the home can be a breeding ground for mold, and traditional materials just doesn’t keep the water out.

It is particularly easy for water to leak into basements and form permanent puddles in out of the way places, which is where mold and mildew thrive.

Apex Foam’s spray foam insulation works excellently well against water and moisture because it expands to fit the space exactly. It doesn’t chip and crack over time. This is the leading cause of mold in basements; it isn’t that the insulation was improperly installed or inadequate, but that it cracked over time. These cracks are how moisture gets in.

Have a basement leak from water coming in from what appears to be a spring. Water is coming in through the cement blocks even though they’ve been painted with Drylock.
My idea was to drill holes at the top of every opening of the blocks and fill them with expanding foam that is water PROOF.
I want to do this from the INSIDE of the basement to avoid the thousands of dollars of digging down to the footer from the outside. Can this be done without damge to the blocks by the expanding foam? There are 3 openings in each block plus the opening where they join together. Maybe an x-ray of each wall and\or templates layed over each one could tell me where to drill? Not being a block layer, there may be other variables that I’m not aware of at this time. All the info you can give me will be much appreciated if this is possible.
Thanks in advance.
